“Legs Up the Wall” pose (Viparita Karani in Sanskrit) is considered a jewel for women as is allows the blood to slowly pool into the low belly, calms the nervous system and cools the body. It can be modified – as shown in this picture – to be performed in the center of the room (with a couple of props for support). This pose is fantastic for the 2ww/2nd two weeks of the cycle but can also be performed while on your cycle — you would just need to skip elevating the pelvis and keep your sacrum/low back down on floor.
